FPL Team Planner
Team Planner compares keeping your squad with transfer routes over three or six rounds, including transfer deductions and chip choices. It uses experimental forecasts from official player and fixture inputs. Budgets use reference market prices, not your actual selling prices; confirm affordability in FPL.
Saved workspaces and JSON backups retain a frozen snapshot and do not automatically become Decision review records. Existing My Team decisions remain available for review.
Open Team Planner →The sections below describe the retired four-round planner and its historical decision records, not the current Team Planner interface.
Radar trial v0.1 · Experimental estimates, not backtested. A projected gain is not a guaranteed return.
01 / YOUR DATAStart from your public squad
My team imports your latest public FPL deadline squad and recorded bank. Player statistics, fixtures, prices and availability flags come from official FPL endpoints. The page shows the squad gameweek, planning gameweek and retrieval time.
Transfers made since that deadline may not be visible. Check your squad, current bank, free transfers and actual selling prices before confirming a plan. Prefilled selling prices use available public purchase records and may need correction.
Reloading replaces unsaved edits with a new reading. Saved decisions and downloaded files keep their original data.
02 / THE FORECASTRadar estimates each fixture
The trial forecast blends a player’s season points per 90 minutes with the average for their position, then adjusts for recorded playing time, fixture difficulty and the current availability flag.
Blank gameweeks contribute zero; double gameweeks sum the scheduled fixtures. Missing estimates prevent a complete lineup comparison. “Official next GW” is shown as a separate reference; it is not the source of Radar’s four-round total.
Calculation details and assumptions
The blend uses five full matches of the position-wide points-per-90 average. Recorded minutes are divided by team match time, capped at a full share. Fixture difficulty applies a fixed 12% adjustment per step around FDR 3 to the contribution beyond an approximate two appearance points.
The current availability flag is carried across the analysis window; recovery dates are not predicted. These coefficients are research assumptions, not fitted parameters. Historical points include bonus and defensive contributions, but those events are not predicted separately.
03 / TRANSFER IMPACTCompare the whole team
Select Preview impact next to a replacement to see the result in the same area. PL Gameweek compares keeping your squad with the selected transfer plan, choosing a legal starting XI and captain for each round. Captain points are doubled once.
The next-gameweek and analysis-window changes include every selected transfer. They are not simply the incoming player’s points minus the outgoing player’s points.
A transfer hit is deducted from the first round only. If free transfers are unknown, the preview shows a range from full hits to no hits. That range describes transfer costs; it is not a confidence interval.
04 / PREVIEW TO PLANCheck costs in the same place
Enter your bank, remaining free transfers and selling prices inside the impact panel. A preview based on unconfirmed details is not a confirmed affordable plan. Budget or squad-rule problems stay visible so you can change the inputs.
Once the required details are valid and confirmed, Look ahead, your next downloaded report and share image use that plan. An unconfirmed selection keeps exports on the keep-squad baseline, with an explicit notice.
Use Choose another player to compare again or Undo all transfers to return to keeping your squad. Nothing here submits a transfer to FPL.
05 / DECISION REVIEWKeep the decision you actually saved
Save decision for review checks the next deadline and freezes the first-round XI, captain, forecasts, selected transfers and evidence. Later data does not recalculate that record. Records stay in this browser; they do not sync across devices.
After the deadline, load the official result in Decision review. Official actual net points are shown separately from the saved suggestion’s fixed-XI score and the keep-squad fixed-XI score. The same-basis difference compares those two fixed XIs.
Fixed-XI scoring excludes automatic substitutions, vice-captain fallback and chips. Results remain pending or provisional until available and settled. The current API cannot backfill a saved record from another season.
06 / SCOPE & LIMITSA planning aid, with clear boundaries
The planner supports up to two transfers before the first analysed round. It checks all single replacements and a shortlist of paired transfers; paired search is not exhaustive. Future rounds hold the resulting squad fixed while changing the XI and captain.
It does not optimise future transfers or simulate automatic substitutions, chips, future prices or injury recovery. Bench order follows the trial estimates; projected totals exclude bench points.
Local records can be edited and are not an independently verified performance record. One gameweek cannot validate the model. The older research snapshots are not inputs to this current planner.
SOURCES & NEXT STEPSCheck the evidence, then make your call
Official FPL supplies the public player, fixture, team and gameweek-result data. PL Gameweek supplies the experimental forecasts and plan comparisons. Recheck official team news and your own transfer details before the deadline.
HTML reports and PNG share images use the decision shown when generated; they do not update automatically. Share images hide your team name by default and do not create a public link to your local record.
