PRIVACY & ANALYTICS

Your team. Your choice.

What PL Gameweek stores, what optional analytics measures, and how to change your choice.

Using your team

PL Gameweek sends the FPL Team ID you provide to its team-data service to retrieve public FPL information. No FPL password is required. Hosting and upstream services may process request logs, including IP addresses and requested URLs, to deliver the service.

Data kept in this browser

Your remembered Team ID, saved decisions and analytics preference are stored in this browser. Saved decisions can include your team name, lineup and the forecast available when you saved them. They do not sync across devices. Clearing this site’s browser data removes these local records. Download a report first if you want to keep a copy.

FPL Team Planner plans and JSON backups

Team Planner stores your plans and previous saved revision in this browser’s IndexedDB. They can include your public Team ID, team name, squad, budget inputs, chip confirmations and a frozen forecast snapshot. Plans are not uploaded to a plan-storage service and do not sync across devices or website addresses. Importing a Team ID still requests public FPL data as described above.

Exported JSON files contain the full saved workspace. Older backups may retain purchase or selling-price fields, although current Team Planner estimates do not use them. Keep backups private unless you intend to share those details. Importing JSON creates a separate local copy. You can delete saved Team Planner workspaces in Team Planner; clearing this site’s browser data also removes them.

Optional Google Analytics

When analytics is enabled for the live site, we ask before loading Google Analytics. If you allow it, Google uses analytics cookies and processes information such as page visits, referral sources, device information and tool-use events. This helps us understand which pages bring visitors and where a task fails.

Our analytics events exclude FPL Team IDs, team names, private notes and complete team plans. We remove personal query parameters and use a fixed page label instead of team-specific titles. We do not enable advertising personalisation or Google signals.

Rejecting analytics leaves team import, calculations, saving and downloads available. No optional analytics events are queued before your choice. Script blockers and rejected analytics mean our totals do not represent every visitor.

Change your choice

Use “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of the page whenever optional analytics is enabled. Rejecting it stops further events and removes the accessible Google Analytics cookies for this site. This does not delete data already collected by Google. If analytics is not configured, that control is hidden and the Google Analytics script is not loaded.

Your choice applies to this browser. Clearing site data may ask you to choose again. See Google’s privacy policy for Google’s processing practices.

Reports and sharing

Reports and share images are generated in your browser. Creating an image does not publish it or create a public link. Review the image and its team-name option before sharing it yourself.
