2026/27 · Confirmed updates labelled 21 September–8 October 2026 inclusive · Prices checked 8 October 2026, 14:27 UTC

FPL.page’s confirmed history records 13 risers and 63 fallers from 21 September to 8 October. Every recorded move was just £0.1m. Falls outnumbered rises almost five to one, but the decision for your squad comes down to a much smaller question: does that £0.1m change the transfer you actually want to make?
This roundup includes the international break and the updates through 8 October. Prices were checked at 14:27 UTC on 8 October 2026. The Gameweek 6 deadline is Saturday 10 October at 11:00 BST, so team news and another price update could still alter your plan.
All 13 price risers
All recorded risers are below, with reconstructed pre-change prices and checked current prices.
| Player | Club | Before | Current |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kostoulas | Brighton | £5.5m | £5.6m |
| Raya | Arsenal | £6.0m | £6.1m |
| Hall | Newcastle | £5.2m | £5.3m |
| Schade | Brentford | £6.1m | £6.2m |
| Tzolakis | Hull | £4.6m | £4.7m |
| De Cuyper | Brighton | £4.9m | £5.0m |
| Barry | Everton | £5.6m | £5.7m |
| Tarkowski | Everton | £6.1m | £6.2m |
| Groß | Brighton | £5.8m | £5.9m |
| Calafiori | Arsenal | £5.8m | £5.9m |
| Saka | Arsenal | £9.5m | £9.6m |
| King | Fulham | £5.5m | £5.6m |
| Rogers | Chelsea | £7.7m | £7.8m |

For prospective buyers, the practical change is straightforward. A £5.5m midfield budget no longer buys Josh King; a £9.5m budget no longer reaches Bukayo Saka. If either move now needs a second transfer, reassess the whole package. The extra player you sell, any hit and the replacement you choose all matter.
Four fallers worth checking against your plan
Four selected fallers illustrate different budget decisions.
| Player | Club | Before | Current |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bruno Fernandes | Man Utd | £12.0m | £11.9m |
| João Pedro | Chelsea | £7.8m | £7.7m |
| Greaves | Ipswich | £4.0m | £3.9m |
| McAidoo | Man City | £4.5m | £4.4m |
Sources: confirmed daily history and official current prices.
Bruno Fernandes now fits an £11.9m budget. That changes affordability, but says nothing by itself about whether he improves your team. The same applies to the cheaper bench options: check expected minutes and whether you will need to start them before using their savings elsewhere.
João Pedro needs an additional check. The official feed still flags him as doubtful with a knee injury and a 75% chance of playing at our timestamp. Wait until you are comfortable with his availability before treating the discount as an opportunity. The flag does not confirm a start. Official FPL status
A market-price drop does not always reduce your selling price
FPL gives you £0.1m of resale profit for each full £0.2m rise above your purchase price. A player bought at £7.7m and now priced at £7.8m still sells for £7.7m. A single rise has improved his market value without increasing your sale proceeds. Official selling-price explanation
The rounding also matters when prices fall. In a hypothetical example, a £7.5m purchase priced at £7.8m sells for £7.6m. If his market price drops to £7.7m, the selling price remains £7.6m. A further fall to £7.6m reduces the sale proceeds to £7.5m. Below your original purchase price, you bear the full loss.
Use the PLGameweek selling-price calculator with your actual purchase price before deciding a potential drop forces your hand. Check the final amount on FPL's Transfers page too.
When is moving early reasonable?
Waiting for team news is useful when you can still afford your preferred transfer after a small price movement. It reduces the chance of buying someone whose injury, role or minutes remain unclear.
Moving earlier can be reasonable when you already want the player for several Gameweeks, have assessed his availability and cannot absorb an adverse change. Write down the alternative first: would being priced out mean choosing an equally useful player, weakening another position or taking a hit?
A possible £0.1m saving alone does not justify four lost points. If an extra transfer is needed, judge its likely contribution against your best no-hit route. There is no reliable fixed conversion between £0.1m and FPL points.
Your pre-deadline budget check
- Choose the football move. Assess fixtures, expected minutes and the role you need filled.
- Calculate the exact funds. Use your outgoing player's selling price plus money in the bank.
- Test the risk. Would a £0.1m rise in your target or a £0.1m fall in your sale proceeds block the plan?
- Keep a fallback. Know the alternative before a price update makes the decision urgent.
- Recheck news and prices. Use the PLGameweek price-change tool, then verify your final transfer in FPL.
These recorded moves describe what has happened. They do not guarantee the next rise or fall. If your preferred team remains affordable, waiting for better information may be the most useful move of all.
How we counted the changes
We counted confirmed updates labelled 21 September–8 October inclusive in FPL.page's history. The baseline is immediately before the 21 September update. Each pre-change price is reconstructed from the recorded new price and its £0.1m direction. All 76 ending prices matched the official FPL feed at our check. We did not compare independent all-player snapshots at the start and end of the period.
The history records 76 events across 76 players, with no repeat movers. Event counts and counts of players with a net rise or fall therefore coincide here; they may differ in other windows. The official GW6 price report also corroborates the recent daily updates.
