If you still own João Pedro, a replacement should be high on your GW10 list. Chelsea have confirmed a thigh injury expected to keep him out for several weeks, without a firm return date. Evanilson is our budget starting point, Nicolas Jackson offers a useful four-round alternative, and Alexander Isak suits squads that can fund the upgrade without weakening another starter.

Your actual selling price, money in the bank and the player who would otherwise start matter more than choosing the most expensive name.

Is João Pedro fit for GW10?

Chelsea's team-news update confirms a multi-week thigh injury and does not give a return date. At the 6 November FPL check, Pedro was marked injured, with a 0% chance of playing the next round and no minutes in GW8 or GW9.

Plan your GW10 XI without him unless a subsequent club update changes that position. Do not turn an uncertain recovery period into a promised return Gameweek. Our GW9 Pedro replacement guide focused on Jackson and Isak; this update adds Evanilson and moves the planning window to GW10–13.

Pedro's market price at the same check was £7.7m. Evanilson was £1.3m cheaper, Jackson £0.7m cheaper and Isak £1.5m dearer. These are market-price gaps, not guaranteed funds released or required. Check your sale proceeds in FPL or the selling-price calculator.

Evanilson offers the cheapest route

Evanilson scored in each of GW6–9, producing four goals, one FPL assist and 34 points in 329 minutes. His expected goals plus expected assists over that period totalled 3.22. Those are encouraging recent returns, supported by attacking involvement, but four matches do not predict the next four.

Nine league starts, a lower price and Ipswich away in GW10 make him the first option to assess when replacing Pedro needs to leave money for another problem. Bournemouth's later fixtures deserve attention too: Fulham away and Brighton at home arrive in GW12–13.

Bournemouth won 3–1 at Sparta Praha on 5 November. Evanilson began on the bench, entered in the 60th minute and scored in the 81st. That means roughly 30 regulation minutes plus stoppage time, rather than a full midweek match. UEFA's result and report confirms his scoring contribution; Sky Sports' match sheet records the substitution time. He remained available with no injury note in the refreshed FPL feed. This is encouraging workload evidence, but it does not replace Bournemouth's final fitness update or guarantee a GW10 start.

Jackson has an attractive GW11–12 pair

Jackson was £0.6m more than Evanilson at the snapshot and had started the last four league matches. Manchester United away comes first, followed by Sunderland at home and Ipswich away. That pair is the clearest reason to choose him for a planned multi-week hold.

His four goals and 33 points in GW6–9 came from 1.48 expected goals. That does not make him a poor pick, but the scoring rate alone is a weak basis for expecting another identical run.

Villa have now played their European fixture: Jackson featured in the 3–0 defeat at Barcelona on 3 November. Reassess his recovery and Villa's final team news before the Manchester United trip. League starts alone do not establish this weekend's workload.

Isak is an upgrade to fund deliberately

Isak's four-round schedule starts at Crystal Palace and ends at home to Sunderland. He played 78, 76 and 90 minutes in GW7–9, starting all three matches.

There is also a fresh European update. Liverpool's official report records Isak coming on in the 66th minute at Fenerbahce on 4 November and scoring in the 3–2 defeat. That limited European workload does not establish a guaranteed league start or rule out later fitness news. Liverpool match report

At the £9.2m snapshot price, the decision extends beyond this forward slot. If reaching him requires weakening a starting midfielder or taking an extra hit, compare both changes with buying Evanilson or Jackson and retaining the stronger player elsewhere.

Should you take a hit to sell Pedro?

Start with your XI if you do nothing. If a fit substitute would replace Pedro, the incoming forward needs to improve on that substitute, not on zero points. If you cannot field a credible XI, acting becomes more valuable.

For a four-point hit, compare the likely gain over your intended holding period and the other moves the transfer enables. One goal does not automatically repay a hit: the player you could have fielded might return as well.

  • Free transfer and a tight budget: assess Evanilson first, with his European substitute appearance checked and final team news still to follow.
  • Room for Jackson: consider the Sunderland–Ipswich pair in GW11–12.
  • Funds already available for Isak: consider the upgrade without sacrificing the rest of your XI.
  • Usable bench and a more urgent problem: a short hold can still make sense while planning Pedro's exit.
  • A hit or two-transfer restructure: compare the complete team and the cost of waiting one round.

Use Team Planner to put the options beside your squad, then make any actual transfer on the official FPL website or app. The best replacement improves your next few rounds without creating a more expensive problem elsewhere.
